Connie & Michael Casey
Connie and Mike Casey are thrilled to be this year’s honorees at A Celebration of Heroes, Heart and Hope.They have been inspired by the CAF community of physically challenged individuals who embrace life and its challenges and live dynamic, active and healthy lives.
Connie and Mike feel very blessed to have 6 children, 12 siblings and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that enjoy active lives with a strong sense of family and community. Connie and Mike greatly admire the same strong sense of community and mentorship that CAF advocates for their athletes.
Mike is a Senior Managing Director in the Real Estate Group at Blackstone. He is responsible for capital raising for Blackstone’s real estate offerings. Before joining Blackstone in 2007, he was the President of Cliffwood Partners LLC in Brentwood, California. Prior to joining Cliffwood, he was a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager of Heitman Capital Management. Mike had the good fortune of starting his real estate career at JMB Realty in Chicago where he spent 12 years as an investment professional and later as a capital raiser.
Mike received a B.B.A. with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance in 1980 and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Real Estate in 1983 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business and is a frequent guest lecturer at the school.
Connie graduated from The University of California at Santa Barbara, then moved to NYC where she held an executive merchandising and buying position at J. McLaughlin. In 2006, she co-founded blinkdecor, an innovative online sourcing website for design enthusiasts. Connie recently launched conniecaseydesign, an interior design firm located in Rowayton, Connecticut. Over the years, Connie has been active participating in and supporting multiple charities and worthwhile causes in the Darien and Rowayton communities.
